At BibiTrì we focus on recycling and upcycling, using pre-loved or recycled fabrics and clothing.
We use natural dyes, scrap materials for embroidery and other methods of embellishments on our scavenged fabrics and make them our canvas. This way every piece we create becomes a work of art.
We source our materials in cooperation with Pääkaupunkiseudun Kierrätyskeskus Oy , which as a social enterprise focuses on Environmental Education Services.
Our pattern cutting is influenced by traditional Japanese clothing with a zero-waste approach and the production happens in collaboration with in small quantities and on-demand.
We ship worldwide, but don't worry, we take sustainability seriously, so we source and produce everything exclusively in Finland and use only eco-friendly and/or recycled packaging materials.
When we ship your purchase, we use UPS's carbon-neutral option and Posti Green to minimize our carbon footprint.
Our Story
My name is Kathy and I am the witchy and slightly eccentric creator of BibiTrì (since 2021).
Born in Germany and coming from a multicultural background, I moved to Finland when I was 18, where I drew inspiration from a multitude of styles and personalities.
My level-headed Japanese husband, Rio, is the one that keeps me grounded in this endeavor, and between us we have four beautifully mixed and matched children ranging from baby to adult.
BibiTrì, with its Upcycle Couture, reflects this diversity as every piece has its own personality (just like our kids) and is a little multicultural in its design.
Together with my husband I have been focusing on building this brand as my sole purpose and in the beginning of Spring 2023 we were joined by Kasia and her Upstitch Studio as a collaborator in this project.
It seemed truly magickal to find this incredible person who shares not only my fashion sense and aesthetics but also my name!
So we decided to team up and create something new and exciting.
Alternative clothing and style has been my go-to since I was a teenager... It started with a gothic look and changed over the years. But one problem in all these different styles, regardless of where I bought them, stayed the same...
THE SIZES JUST WEREN'T QUITE RIGHT.
More and more sustainable fashion brands are size inclusive, which is great for plus sizes, but most brands still ignore the really tall humans or the really small ones...
Our aim is to make fellow Earthians genuinely happy by creating open-minded, timeless, sustainable fashion for any body type and shape.
As this brand grows we hope to be a part of the solution rather than the problem, passing on the important values in life, not only to our own children, but to everyone who is willing to listen.
